Mayfest means fun for the whole family!
From the Fossil Digs to a Bear Clinic, Mayfest offers a variety of free fun activities every year for the whole family every year.
On the southern edge of Mayfest is the Centennial Green Park, home to the Kidzone. During daylight hours, dozens of individual and corporate volunteers offer up free projects and activities as well as live music and dancing on the Kidzone stage. This year, we are again offering “Art Beginnings” which allows kids 12 and under to develop an appreciation for art buy picking up their own piece of art for only $5.
Join us Saturday and Sunday for “The Art of Movement” with Carmen Paul of Deep Movement Studio. Free 20-minute natural movement classes will be offered every hour on the hour at KidZone. Classes are limited to 20 children, and parents and/or guardians must be present if under the age of 16. Please see an instructor at KidZone to register for the class. In addition to the classes, be sure to visit their natural movement obstacle course to explore, play, and test your movement patterns. This area will be available all day Saturday (11 a.m. – 7 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. – 6 p.m.) for all ages and abilities.
The activities and performers vary daily, so check out the Kidzone page for a complete schedule.
